The foliage is actually really thick and hard almost succulent like but they do like to be on the somewhat moist side

Aglaomorpha is one of the best fern groups

As they mature they will naturally shed their lower leaves and grow more of a cane-like stalk

Hoyas in general prefer a coarse/bark filled soil to promote proper drainage

Anthuriums like this one will be happiest in a bright indirect light

*Some will have fewer leaves
