Domaine de Beaurenard, Chateauneuf-du-Pape 2016
Description
Domaine de Beaurenard, Chateauneuf-du-Pape 2016Beaurenard has excelled this vintage. The 2016 Chateauneuf du Pape is no slouch, with ample richness, bold cherry and apricot fruit and attractive hints of dried spices and garrigue. Complex, full bodied and supple, it finishes long and silky. It's two thirds Grenache Noir, with the rest composed of the 17 other permitted grape varieties. Country Region: Cotes du Rhone, France Grape Variety: 13 varieties of the appellation, predominantly Grenache.
though the 2015 Canon La Gaffeliere might offer more intellect
more depth and you could even argue more ambition than the 2015 Lafite-Rothschild showed last year
supported by a rock-solid grainy texture
Grape Variety: Sauvignon Blanc 55%
boysenberry and a touch of pencil box
very precise acidity and layers of crisp black fruit laced with vanilla from the new oak at the moment
profile on the palate
although just a baby in terms of evolution
gooseberry and blackcurrant notes in these wines
The tasting notes below will indicate the varying styles from one cuvée to another
and subtle background toast/vanillin
full-bodied and pure
