Victorian Folding Lorgnettes - Gorgeous Mother of Pearl Eye GlassesThis is a lovely set of Victorian lorgnettes folding eye glasses. They are housed in a beautiful mother of pearl casing which has a pull lever to the side which pulls the folding glasses out and they unfold nicely. The glass in in good antique condition and the piece has patina and age related wear. They have a good bail to the end which means you can attach them to ribbon for around your neck or to your chatelaine or fob. They measure just over 2. 5

The fan is in very nice condition with the little loop to the base of the handle only partially present

They are quite large at just under 5 inches long and have a very pretty twisting detail to the handles and they are in very nice antique condition - as with all antique scissors

They are beautifully decorated with diamond cut frames and gorgeous decorative etching along the arms of the glasses
