Spinel on matrixA superb, sharp, lustrous, gemmy, fine reddish pink colored twinned crystal of Spinel measuring 1. 8 cm is proudly sitting atop white marble matrix. A couple of secondary complimenting Spinels are visible on the specimen to really round it out. The piece is not only fine quality and aesthetic but sits beautifully as you can see in the photos. Great quality Quartz for the area

but the orthorhombic crystals on this specimen are so distinct and thick for the species that you can clearly see them with the naked eye

but worldwide

and I can see a small amount of drusy off-white Calcite on the reverse side along with a light blue mineral which could be either Turquoise or Chrysocolla

This one is in very good shape for this material despite a little bit of roughness here and there but just look at how sharp and lustrous the crystals are

It was detached at one point and then recrystallized so it's now complete on both ends
