1858 Flying Eagle Cent (XF)The 1858 Flying Eagle Cent (XF) features a bold eagle in flight on the obverse and a classic wreath design on the reverse, struck in copper nickel alloy. In Extremely Fine (XF) condition, it retains strong detail in the feathers and wreath, with light wear on the high points. This one year type (along with 1857) is prized by collectors for its historical significance as the U. S. Mints first small cent.
