200cm Norwegian "Sukkerbit" Cross-Country Skis HAND MADE 1930sRecently acquired from the land that invented snow, these skis will look great on your wall, or guarantee you last place in your next race!!! Hand made from solid wood, likely hickory. The tip is called "sukkerbit" in Norwegian, which means sugar cube. These types of tips were used for bracing the ski tips during storage to ensure that the skis didn't flatten out. It was quite a process to get bend into solid wood ski tips, so you didn't want to lose
with bindings
but it's pretty neat
and are unique in that they highlight the number of gold ("kultaa") medals won on Järvinen skis
