Imarhan - Essam (CD)Tishoumaren woestijnblues in de volksmond is niet een genre wat vaak opnieuw wordt uitgevonden. Hoeft ook niet. Het zit 'm in de verdieping en op Essam graaft Imarhan dieper dan ooit in 't hete zand. De groep uit de Algerijnse oasestad Tamanrasset heeft er een Franse producer bijgehaald, Emile Papandreou, die een sfeervolle laag synths heeft toegevoegd. Misschien is het toch geen kuil waar ze zich begeven, maar in een wolk, net boven de Sahara.
