2023 Georg Breuer "Lorch Pfaffenwies" Riesling Trocken, Rheingau, GermanyABOUT THIS WINE The vineyard site Pfaffenwies was initially mentioned as pafenwies (in the document from 1211) and later as pfaffenwissen (1235). It was named after Pastor Dydo, also known as Pfaffe. This steep site (with slopes up to 45 percent) is situated between 90 to 160 meters above the see level. The soil here is a combination of stony Hunrck slate and Taunus quartzite, with loess in the lower parts. Natural fermentation and aging in stainless
