The Asplenium genus in general are very hardy and durable compared to some other ferns

*Formerly classified as Sansevieria*

Since this is a desert species they get very minimal watering even more so in the winter months

Their foliage practically sparkles under light

They definitely are more of a trellis grower and prefer some support to produce that nice thick heart shaped foliage

They don't mind a bit of dryness in between watering as they're sensitive to too much water

Mounts are great ways to grow your plant as they can mimic epiphytic conditions that plants would normally experience in their natural habitats

They like to be slightly on the moist side so can be watered roughly when the top 1" of soil starts to feel dry

you can either soak the moss of the mount for 10-15 minutes in body of water or run it under a faucet in short bursts until the moss has re-hydrated with a sponge-like texture
