This is still an astonishingly old-school example of whisky

Specially selected by Master Blender Robert Hicks in celebration of the 2010 Islay Festival

often reaching its peak way after its 30th birthday

so the whisky inside would have been distilled no later than the mid 1970s and quite possibly earlier

they're rare as hens teeth as well

This should be rich and fruity with an opulent sherry character

these late 1990s Tomatins still have some of that fruity magic of the old 1970s ones
