Makenge Basket 25Makenge baskets are hand woven in Zambia from boiled roots of the Makenge bush and naturally coloured with plant dyes. The baskets are extremely hard wearing as the roots allow for higher coil to be woven. As part of our vintage collection, this basket has been designed with unique, soulful details and carefully restored with stunning artisanal techniques using traditional methods. The basket would have been passed down generations as a wedding gift
famous for their fishing are located predominantly along the Niger River in Mali and known as the ‘masters of the river’
The wood is then crafted into our unique design using exceptional artisanal craftsmanship
Our Gigi sculptural vase is a unique piece from the artist Julie Deault of Musette Ceramique who is based in Canada
