Glenrothes 12 Year Old Early 1990sSpeyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky Distillery Bottling 75cl 43% An old example of Glenrothes when it was bottled as a straight 12 year old in the early 1990s before the vintage statement dumpy presentation replaced it. These batches were quite bit richer and more densely fruit driven that current examples. Well worth trying and makes for fun comparison with the current releases.

The honied sweetness of the sauternes really works here as it perfectly compliments the lush tropical fruit character inherent in the Benriach distillate

with the vast majority of its output going into the J&B blend
